Should I even keep going anymore? Nobody reads my stuff. This place is great, sure, and I love writing on it… but I’ve become totally disenchanted with it.

As sad as I am to say it…. I’m putting this ol’ thing to side. It’s time for me to move on from this place…

However… that doesn’t mean I’ll stop writing about gaming… or anything else. No more broken promises, no more unread write-ups: I’m starting anew. A new blog. With a new focus.

Mactendo. Apple and Nintendo are always seen as blood brothers. Thus, I will make a blog. I only write about Nintendo really, and on Mactendo, I can still persue my ramblings while at the same time having some sort of focus rather than trying to be everything at once.

I’m setting up the blog now. I’ll post a link later.

The few of you that have been reading…. thanks. If anyone that reads this has been reading since the beginning, last June: thank you. I’m sorry. I’ve neglected you. Mactendo will be different. I’ll post as much as I can. But I can no longer continue to drive this beast.

I’m going to start Mactendo, and I’m going to write it as a blog, not a website. That was the mistake I made here.

E3 is dead. And will be sorely missed.

Basically, I’m playing sort-of old, current-gen games so I can catch up on the canon for the new ones coming out this year. The series starts with reviews of the two most recent Sonic games, Sonic Rush and Shadow the Hedgehog. I’ve already played a bit of Shadow on the GameCube, and I’ve been impressed up to the level “Iron Jungle.” The game’s good, better than Sonic Adventure 2, at least (and according to Sonic Team, Shadow is technically Sonic Adventure 3, where as Sonic Heroes… was Sonic Heroes…. which is better than Shadow, really… just read the review), until it starts relying on the gunplay. You’ll read the review. That one I rented. Glad I rented it.

However, I’ve decided I should spend some of my hard earned cash from work on a new game for my collection… it hasn’t been increased for a while, anyway. I thought what to get and, obviously, I’m getting the DS game, Sonic Rush. That thing is like a third hand I use it so much. I would rent, but I don’t have GameFly, plus, if it’s as good as I hear, then I want it in my collection.

The Next Gen Prep series, by the way, is an official part of QWERTY, and will feature reviews of such classics as Mario Sunshine and such crap as… well… possibly… Shadow the Hedgehog.

WASDEM’s storm troopers, myself (LordTurbine, going as the NEDM Happycat), Mushookie, and his girlfriend (she’s nerdier than Mushookie himself… no, really, she’s going dressed as Sango from Inuyasha, and she’s actually spending money on the costume) are going to Comic-Con 2006, equipped with enough crap to survive a whole day of nerd insanity from 10 AM to 7 PM, maybe even longer if things go as planned.

Saturday, July 22nd is the day. Here are the supplies we’re bringing, most of which are to be sure we bring you the best coverage possible instead of last year’s no coverage at all:

-A Complex Schedule (Detailed Below)

-Spare Cash To Buy Crap (A Copy of Maddox’s Comic, Perhaps? Yes.)

This means on-the-dot updates from the show floor and from inside different panels, as there is wi-fi in the convention center (at least as I’ve heard) and the laptop has an SD card reader built-in.

I’ll be writing notes from within panels, I’ll be taking as many pictures as possible, and if I can, I’ll be updating regularly.

Yeah, I know, it’s put a bit of a damper on all the promises I made for the Summer of QWERTY.

I didn’t go to Anime Expo. I haven’t reviewed the laptop, You OS, or the copy of Ubuntu I just recieved in the mail.

However….

I have some news that’ll lift your spirits.

And we’re bringing the laptop and the digital camera for live updates from the show floor and from inside several different panels, which explains the new “Cartoons” category.

I go onto the WordPress main page using Flock to see the friendly message:

This browser is spreading all over the internet. That image was madepossible using the web snippets feature of the browser, by the way. AllI had to do was drag and drop, then drag it in. WOW.

Go back through the posts, you'll see my acclaim. The RSS reader isbased off of Sage, but better. It's got built-in spell check. It's gota blogging feature that owns Performancing. It's got a photo toolbarthat allows me to drag and drop pictures into either Flickr orPhotobucket. It's search bar takes the already convinient search barand combines it with something of the likes of Spotlight.

Live search – as you type. AWESOME. That, by the way, was uploadedto my PhotoBucket account, named, cropped, and brought into this post -without ever leaving the page. THAT'S why I love Flock. Because I cando it all without ever navigating past my blogging window. I can do itall without leaving my news feeds. Flock is the summation of Web 2.0 -the evolution of the web. Firefox started it, Flock brings it to itsfinal plateau. And it's only in beta – 0.7.

May the Flock team be prosperous in the future. Because the browser is damn good.

ONE THING: The Live Results should be interchangable with othersearch engines, say, Live Results from Google or Live Results fromWikipedia – that'd make the feature even better. Also, it could use avideo uploader (YouTube, PhotoBucket, Google Video, Yahoo! Video) andin the blogging department, I'd definately love to see its Taggingfeature support tags with spaces in-between words.

5/5 – implement video uploader, it'll get a 6.
